Wearth Group | Romed:X: Where Design, Engineering, and Robotics Help Shape the Future of Medicine

Wearth Group | in development

With Romed:X, Conicio, the Wearth Group subsidiary dedicated to design and engineering, is putting its expertise to work in medical innovation.

Developed in partnership with Stäubli Robotics and SQI, this medical platform accelerates the development and prototyping of new technologies in conditions that closely reflect their intended clinical environment.

Accelerating Innovation
Developing a new robotic medical technology requires the ability to rapidly experiment, test, and refine solutions developed by research teams and healthcare professionals.

This need led to the creation of Romed:X.

This robotic platform is designed to facilitate the prototyping and development of new robotic medical devices, particularly in surgery, interventional radiology, and rehabilitation, from the preclinical through the clinical stages.

Modular and ready to use, it provides teams with an environment in which to develop and test new robotic applications without having to design a dedicated infrastructure for each project.

Design Serving Usability and Performance

With Romed:X, Conicio champions a belief that shapes its approach: design is not limited to aesthetics; it must serve usability, technology, and performance.

This philosophy is reflected in the platform’s design itself. A mobile cart makes it easy to move the robot and adapt it to different medical environments, while providing the stability required for safe and precise operation.

The integration of a Stäubli robotic arm and an intuitive interface simplifies operation while delivering precision and repeatability in the movements performed.

The platform’s modular design also makes it possible to adapt it to a wide range of research projects and use cases.

Design, ergonomics, and engineering are therefore considered together from the outset, around a shared goal: making technology truly usable.

A Platform Bridging Research and Clinical Applications

Beyond the technology itself, Romed:X helps shorten the path between an innovative idea and its testing in conditions that closely resemble real-world hospital environments.

Ultimately, innovations developed using this type of platform could help advance less invasive approaches and more targeted treatments, with the potential for outpatient care and shorter hospital stays.

Conicio: Design and Engineering at the Heart of Wearth Group’s Innovation

Through Conicio, Wearth Group draws on expertise that combines design and engineering to turn complex needs into concrete solutions, designed around users from the very beginning.

In this way, innovation serves people and brings the Group’s purpose to life: designing solutions that enable people to live in harmony with their ecosystems.
